Review (acne skin): Tonymoly Spoiler Selfie Shot BB

2

The more products I try from Tonymoly, the more I love them as a brand. And when I saw this extremely cheap Spoiler Selfie Shot BB cream, I simply had to try it, even just to see what they can do for the price of around $6! So let’s see…

Packaging

I feel like Tonymoly, as well as Aritaum (funny that both are my favourite brands), don’t really put effort into making any boxes. They just give you the product with some plastic wrapping or seal. So this is no other way.

The design is fairly simple, all black with white and red text. It’s simple but it still looks nice.

It comes in a squeezable tube and has a screw-able lid, ale made out of plastic. It may feel cheap but this is $6, we can’t want any high end looking thing.

Product

There are 2 shades available: #01 Skin Beige and #02 Warm Beige.

I got the shade #01 Skin Beige and I feel like it’s a perfect match. The shade is basically the same as Vanilla Beige of BCDation+.

It has SPF37 PA++ which is probably perfect for most of the people during spring, autumn and winter. For the summer, I still recommend using a sunscreen under it.

The coverage is where this super cheap BB cream left me speechless. As you can see in the pictures below, this has beautiful medium coverage, easily buildable to medium-high.

The finish is extremely natural looking. It’s semi matte to the point where it’s not extremely oily and dewy but not drying at all, it’s actually pretty moisturizing.

It looks perfect for around 8 hours with a powder and a primer (Aritaum Pore Master Sebum Control) and 6 hours with some powder on my T-zone and without a primer. Without any powder, it lasts around 4 hours, maybe? Then it needs a tiny little touch-ups but it’s not too bad, you can totally go a whole day without touching-up. The only thing it does, is some separating around my mouth area (aka nothing special).

Important this is that the coverage doesn’t disappear throughout the day which happens quite a lot with BB creams.

However, another thing is that they claim for this to fill up any pores and blur the skin over any blemishes. I personally don’t think this is true, but again, my skin is very textured at the moment so this might not be an issue for you.

Overall

At first, I was really skeptical because of the price but when I started using it, I fell in love with this. It might even be better than my holy grail Aritaum Full Cover BB Cream!

I highly, HIGHLY recommend this to absolutely everyone! It’s not too drying, it’s not too dewy, it’s the perfect middle.
