Peripera claiming this is moist and creamy texture? Let me laugh at this.
My exams are finally over and my skin is getting better, meaning that I can properly post and shoot some videos now! Yay! I’m already working on better product photos for you!
Now let’s talk about the reason why we’re here today, shall we?
Peripera Peri’s Cushion Lips. I first ordered the shade #OR04 Secret Trip some time ago and I really liked the colour, but not the texture, so I thought I’d give it another chance with second shade #PK08 Bye Nineteen. And simply, I shouldn’t have.
Packaging
The box is pretty nice, I guess. So is the packaging. It has great shape to hold in hand and it’s simple to use.
The little cushion feels really nice at first, before using. After some using, it gets hard and doesn’t feel like cushion anymore, but like some not so comfortable weird hard tip.
These pictures are from my first uses with old camera so excuse it-. To get the product, you have to squeeze the bottle quite a lot to get at least something. It has small hole in the middle of the cushion which makes it weird application for me. But it gets smeared quite easily.
This is how it looks now after some using:
I don’t have the pink for too long so it’s not that bad but look at the orange… The cushion got really hard.
Texture and colour
This is what Peripera claims:
This is highly pigmented liquid lipstick that delivers intense, vibrant color and semi-matte finish with long lasting result. Shea butter helps give weightless on the lips without flaking and dryness.
And to be honest with you, this is complete bullshit. Yes, the colours are very intense and vibrant, as you can see in the pictures below (direct sunlight and white light), but it’s not semi-matte, nor it is long lasting. It’s really matte and very, very drying. The lasting power isn’t even that long. Like it does stay on, because it’s so dry, but it doesn’t last very long. I drink a LOT of water so this lipstick is off my lips quite quickly.
On jolse it says it’s moist and creamy texture and I’m just laughing. It’s heavy cream, it’s not even creamy- And this is moist? I don’t even have THAT dry lips, I used lip scrub before shooting these pictures but it still looks as if I had super super super dry lips.
Overall review
I hate when I have it as full coverage. I just can’t wear it, it looks so bad on me. As gradient, it looks really good, I really love the colours and I’m really sad this doesn’t work for me. Like I wear it and I will keep wearing it the days I put a LOT of Aritaum’s Overnight Lip Mask.
Remember that what doesn’t work for me, might work for you. And I’m not saying these are that bad. If you have juicy lips, sure, go for these.
